My Approach
*Accepting new clients now for sessions starting in September
I aim to create a safe and supportive space where you can show up as you are, explore what you’re carrying, and move toward what matters most to you. My approach is warm, curious, and collaborative, with your strengths, values, and lived experience at the center of our work together.
I work with adults, teens (16+), and couples navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, and the impacts of stress and trauma, as well as folks wanting to explore questions of identity, meaning, and purpose. I particularly enjoy supporting clients looking to understand longstanding beliefs and patterns that they feel no longer serve them, heal from trauma, and cultivate a deeper sense of connection with themselves, others, and the world around them.
I approach counseling holistically, recognizing the connection between mind and body, as well as the influence of relationships, communities, and broader social systems on our experiences. I draw from mindfulness and somatic practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-based, relational, and psychodynamic perspectives. Whatever brings you to counseling, I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
About Jen:
Before pursuing counseling, I spent over a decade in public service supporting individuals and communities navigating crises and complex challenges, including survivors of sexual and intimate partner violence, first responders, and refugee and immigrant communities. These experiences shaped my commitment to cultural humility, and to building authentic and affirming relationships that honor each person’s identities, experiences, and story. In my personal time, you’ll likely find me spending time near the water, sharing meals with loved ones, or learning to play the ukulele.

Good Faith Estimate: You have a right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, healthcare providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of expected charges for services. You can ask me for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.
